hi, I am looking at using the ocean pebble colour paint. I saw it in Masterdon at Warrick farm, it looked like it was half strength on their walls. Is the ocean pebble the colour of the wall on this picture or the test patch at the top, (the darker shade)

Hi Karina,
The main wall colour you see in the pic of the studio is Ocean Pebble. The darker colour is the paper coating on the gyprock (which we like too LOL).

Seeing Ocean Pebble now throughout the house we often say what a fantastic choice we made, it is exactly the sort of beige tone we wanted. Beware of other light beige colours too, we have seen a couple of lighter shades that actually reflect green and pink, but Ocean Pebble is beige through and through.

thanks so much for your reply. I have seen the same thing, alot of the colours look green! Is your ocean pebble a full strength or half strength? In the Manhattan and Warrick farm, I put the ocean pebble sample up against their wall, and the sample looked much darker, so I thought maybe they used a half strength, and they had a feature wall on the bedroom which looked more like the full strength (well same as the colour card anyway, so hard to tell though!) Your picture of your studio looks the same as what I saw today at Masterdon so thought maybe your paint and Warrick farm display was half strength? I asked at the front desk but they didnt know the strength of the colour.

Hi Karina,

Ours is full-strength. One thing we noticeed in The Manhatten at Warwick Farm is that it has tonnes of halogen downlights which lighen the paint heaps. If you go back to Warwick Farm ask them to turn the lights out and open all the blinds, you will then see the true magic of Ocean Pebble.

Another tip - go to your hardware store and get a sample pot of Ocean Pebble (Low Sheen) in a Taubmans base (not Dulux, Haymes, etc as they are all different) then get a gyprock off-cut to a size of your choosing from a site waste bin and paint it a couple of coats and stand it around inside your current house in differing light, both natural and artificial. We did this, and that is why we chose it...

good idea about the sample pots, I will do this this week. In picture named "BELOW: Boxed Ceilings in Formal Dining" is the wall in the background ocean pebble, in the shade, or is that a different feature wall colour? I take it the one in the foreground is ocean pebble?

Hi Karina,

We stayed with one colour for the living areas (Ocean Pebble), Alabaster White for all wet areas and the Ceilings.

So what you see on all walls is Ocean Pebble, however some pics may only show one coat. The camera flash lightens it quite a bit and on the insides of the house it looks darker. It islike a pearl paint, it really changes colour all day, it's amazing.

Also, when you look at the Ocean Pebble in the High Gloss it is darker, see the staircase pic where the timber strip is and the internal doors.
