Farewell to Boo our ferret (she has received her wings)
Unfortunately, today our beautiful baby girl ferret crossed over the rainbow bridge. Boo has been a part of our family since 2004. She was a present to me from John after my Nan passed away. I have always wanted a ferret. We had her since she was 6 weeks old. Recently, we found that she had a growth in her belly, problems with her adrenal gland as well as diabetes. She was on medication for her conditions. Unfortunately, this morning she was put out on the verandah to enjoy the morning sun and we were buzy with friends which means we didn't see her have her episode.
We are all missing her a lot but know that she is now happy and not in pain. The hardest part of today was deciding where we were going to lay her to rest. We decided that we needed to lay her to rest in the back yard of the new house (so she is there with us after we move in). I am heart broken right now and I am going to miss her a real lot. The family has been upset since it happened this afternoon, and still are...
