The approved plans show a basic driveway, which isn't what we went with. As you can see we went with a huge driveway, I did ask the question as to whether the council would crack it over the size of the driveway but apparently the only interest the council has is regarding the part that crosses the council land. The council wants to inspect the driveway at the council strip only, not the part on our land. So, basically, as long as you have SL72 mesh and 25mpa concrete crossing the council verge then all will be well. Having said all that, my concretor (Rob) handled all this with the council for me.
I've already spoke with Rob and he gave me an interesting quote but unfortunately he lives quite far from Sydney and he can't do it. We'll I'm sure there are plenty of skilled tradies out there and all I need to do is to find them hehehe....

ReplyDeleteOur concretor is a local Yass guy, his name is Rob Pollack and his phone number is 02 6226 2500.
If the job is of a decent size he may travel to Sydney for the work, however as he is such a great concretor he has tonnes of work locally.
